"When the staff first discussed carrying out a project about the history of the school we had no idea how powerful and emotional the journey would be." - Mrs BradleyIn September 2015 Lyne and Longcross CofE (Aided) Infant School and Nursery once again becomes a Primary School, teaching the children of Lyne, Longcross and the surrounding area until they reach the age of 11, as it had done previously for nearly 100 years until 1971.To accommodate this expansion the old school building will be demolished to make way for a new school building allowing the school to continue its proud history preparing the local children for a faithful life of work and learning. The present pupils, therefore, have used this as an opportunity to learn about what the school was like at various points in its history, to reflect on what they think the school is like now, and to look forward and try to predict what the school will be like in the future.This book is the product of their research.
