As the Housing Development Administration, while carrying out the prepartions for the Habitat II Conference, we have tried this international gathering to leave lasting benefist in Turkey. This effort can be seen in many areas, from the construction of conference halls to the establishment of an institution after Habitat II responsible to do a follow up of the decisions taken at the meetings. We are pleased to have been the intermediary in the realization of the project on building a data-bank on Non Governmental Organization in Turkey undertaken by the UNDP and the History Foundation on occasion of the Habitat and that a beginning have been marked.
