Author Description

This work has been prepared as a general introduction to the two counties of Devon and Cornwall. It is designed to enhance a visit at any time of the year, with an emphasis on Spring, Autumn and Winter months. It contains details of places of interest, selected attractions and leisure pursuits (including walking, fishing, golfing, bird watching, shooting, sailing and bowls), potted histories of cities, towns and villages, famous sons and daughters of the past, a range of hotels, restaurants, inns and guest houses, and it presents a tour of the region in a mainly clockwise direction.
