Dear readers, some TV and radio announcers try to make the public fear immigrants today as immigrants have been feared for centuries. However, I've worked with immigrants from around the world as a teacher, health educator, translator, and friend for over half a century, and I have met thousands. They're hard-working friends with strong family values, certainly not people to fear. Some of their stories are in this book. I hope you'll meet them in these pages and in your daily lives wherever you see them, shopping, working, in church, and give one of your smiles. Their children and ours are the future of the USA.
