Author Description

This series teaches about historical periods, using as a resource, selected classic literary works children are likely to study as a set text. Each title offers a unique look into the history of a specific period and region and shows how literature reflects history, e.g. social trends of the time, social context, historical events informing the text, how literature is different from reality. Each book is an ideal resource for individual pupil projects on an historical period, a piece of literature, or a writer.
