The good man deliberately foHowed them. When the whiskey was unpacked, many were the exclamations of delight and admiration at the beautiful carriage. The boys were in ecstacies. William said, it was much too pretty for old Jack to draw; "and as you have afforded yourself a whiskey, sir," continued he,. "I hope you will afford yourself another horse." "Indeed I shall not," replied the rector; "bless me, boys, are you mad? do you want to ruin me quite?
