Hypertension in children is usually undiagnosed by most of the clinicians. It is better to habituate to measure blood pressure in clinics as routine. In children primary hypertension is unusual but it may present. Most of the cases of childhood hypertension will have an underlying etiology especially renal pathology. Renal profile of the child with hypertension and ultasonography of abdomen including pelvis is required.
