Benjamin, also known as ‘Benji’ displays great character and work ethic as he works very hard at his lemonade stand to save up and buy a pair of tap shoes from the antique store in Fort Pierce. To his surprise the tap shoes are actually very special. He gets to take multiple trips into The Harlem Renaissance where he meets many important people from The Harlem Renaissance. He learns about their history and who they are. This book is to educate children on the key elements and people of significance during The Harlem Renaissance.
