Never turn your back on an open window, Rule 1. Middwood, Kentucky, 1964. Matt Christian is a pill-popping, young, gay teacher who lost everything. Following his only job lead, he arrives at a rural mining town in the Kentucky mountains. He hopes to make a fresh start, but he quickly discovers the town is not only governed by odd rules, but it's haunted by a dark past. Matt needs to escape before time runs out, but something is holding him there. Is it the community that surrounds him, the ghosts of the town’s past, or are Matt’s own demons finally laying claim on his soul?
