"Hagia Sophia, a structure built approximately 1500 years ago, has witnessed different civilizations, cultures and religions. This temple, which has such a special past, is one of the rare works in human history. In this sense, it is extremely valuable and meaningful for Istanbul, our country and our history. Studies aimed at understanding and preserving its rich past will actually help us understand all of human history and enrich our culture. With these thoughts, the International Hagia Sophia Symposium, organized for Hagia Sophia and hosted by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, will reveal new information about the depths of Hagia Sophia's rich history and contribute to the efforts to preserve this structure."--
