The book you're reading now is about the first twenty years of my life, most especially over the last five years. You will think, ""Phew, a child who has been through a lot, what now?" I wish I could say, ""Not much."" Everything that happened to me over the recent years has made me who I am. I had to fight for a long time, but I can tell you now; ""I am who I am and I'm happy."" I have put my life on paper so that I can share it to all of you. I am these poems. Mindy was born in Goirle on January 11, 1985. She now lives in Tilburg. Her father died on December 31, 2000 after a long illness, and since then, she closed seriously. Then came a very difficult period in which fear and sadness played an important role on her life. After a few tough years, everything became much better. Meanwhile, her mother remarried and she is studying childcare in Tilburg.
