Gunfighter Smoke Jensen seeks vengeance against the ruthless preacher Lazarus Cain and his men for an attack on his ranch hand. Jensen must navigate the harsh landscape and confront Cain's band of outlaws, who operate with a disturbing lack of morality. The narrative framework appears to be a straightforward, third-person perspective focused on Jensen's pursuit and confrontation.

The premise sets up a classic Western revenge narrative, focusing on a determined protagonist against a villainous figure. The genre suggests a fast-paced plot with significant action sequences and a clear moral dichotomy, likely appealing to readers who enjoy straightforward tales of frontier justice. The focus on a gunfighter's quest for retribution implies a narrative driven by conflict and resolution, characteristic of the Western genre.
