
The complexity of weight loss, weight maintenance and fitness is often exaggerated. Instead, there are some general rules that anyone can follow to enable successful weight loss, weight maintenance and improve physical fitness. This short satirical look at what "The Ancients" (because we all look for secret knowledge) have to say about the subject will provide the general guidelines, that if implemented, are effective in seeing weight and fitness related goals achieved. As a professor of exercise and sport science, and diet coach of almost 1000 clients; I have seen these general guidelines (of "The Ancients") play out in the research literature and with individuals. I hope you find value in this short book of proverbs, even with the interjection of my dad-joke humor. The presentation of the book is intended to be humorous (even if juvenile at times) but the information is rooted in scientific support and my anecdotal observations with working clients. My hope is the satirical presentation will promote both the retention of the information presented and the distribution of these general guidelines for better health, weight loss, weight maintenance and training.
