In 1859, Charles Darwin, and his contemporary Alfred Russel Wallace, published works which introduced the Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection. This book examines those works. The examination reveals that Darwin and Wallace offered voluminous strong evidence that evolution can and did occur. On the other hand, without presenting any evidence, they merely assumed that competition is central in nature and is the operative force in natural selection. A further examination of other key writings about Evolution reveals that, to this day, scientists of evolution have simply assumed and not collected data, that competition between living things, including humans, is central, nor that competition is the driving force in evolution. This book concludes with a discussion of the consequences, to science and everyday life, which result from the above analyses.
