This special issue of the Journal of Finnish Studies 18(1) entitled From Cultural Knowledge to Cultural Heritage: Finnish Archives and Their Reflections of the People is guest edited by Pia Olsson and Eija Stark. The collection includes articles by Pia Olsson, Eija Stark, Risto Blomster and Kati Mikkola, and Niina Hämäläinen. This issue also includes a polemic exchange between Douglas Robinson and Jyrki Nummi on the critical edition of Aleksis Kivi's Nummisuutarit. In addition, eight book reviews are included.
