Author Description

Before the International Space Station there was Space Station Freedom. It had a complex and very ambitious computational system design called the "Data Management System" or DMS. It was to be a set of computers and devices which would support the space station and the various people who would prepare software for SSF. When SSF died DMS died with it. This is memoir of how it was to work with the DMS design and the people who were building it and preparing to use it.
