Author Description

In the last ten years of his life, Charles Dickens spent many quiet evenings writing in his study with his little deaf cat as his sole companion. Using Dickens' letters, novels and his children's memoirs as actual sources, the author tells the story of his life as if she were the cat recounting Dickens' memories.
