Presents trends and developments in diverse areas of semigroup theory such as analysis, functional analysis and topology. Main topics include: Lie theory and algebraic geometry for semigroups; structure theory of compact semigroups; functional analysis on semigroups; relations to systems theory and a combinatorial number theory.
