Somewhere in fourteenth-century France, a horse is born. He is called Moscat. As the seasons pass, he grows, learns about humans, leaves the mountains to live in a stable, and slowly lets himself be tamed. Written and illustrated by a medievalist, Moscat uses historical texts to recreate the life of a fourteenth-century foal, granting a unique insight into the relationship between horses and men during the Middle Ages.
