This book is edited according to the requirements of Syllabus for Foundations of Computer Application in Secondary Vocational Schools issued in 2009. Consisting of seven chapters, the book respectively elaborates on the rudimentary knowledge of computer, operation of Windows XP, application of Internet, word processor Word 2003, spreadsheet processor Excel 2003, multimedia software, and PowerPoint 2003. To meet the requirements of secondary vocational education, each chapter is followed by comprehensive application examples in terms of typing, packaging of computer, office network construction, personal network space construction, preparation of brochures, preparation of statistical statements, preparation of electrical albums, and PowerPoint of product presentations, etc. It aims to improve students comprehensive application skills of computer.
