Julia is a young alchemist in pursuit of deeper knowledge. Fira has lived in isolation after her tragic past. By chance, the two elven women meet, and Fira offers her help. On their journey together Julia cannot fail to notice many peculiar things in her companion, and drawn in by her apparent suffering in the grip of nightmares, Julia uses her magic to spy on Fira's dreams and memories. Little by little, she begins to piece together the fragments of Fira's past and true identity. In the waking hours they begin to develop a friendship, though unbeknownst to the other, they struggle to hide their attraction. The fabric of polite companionship is really put to the test as the sexual tension rises, and shatters as Julia uncovers the truth of who Fira is. Unable to abandon Fira to her prolonged misery, Julia decides to get to the bottom of it all. Together they embark on a quest to right past wrongs, and attempt to put things right. Perhaps between themselves, as well?
