Product Description Managing Externally-Funded Projects This book deals with the full spectrum of activities and skills involved in selecting the prospective client, to developing the proposal, and to executing the project at a brief but advanced level. This book encourages the performing organizations to think of externally-funded projects not simply as the efforts in preparing a proposal, but rather a continual cycle to encompass project execution and the efforts to continually improve the proposal-project cycle. This book addresses more efficient selection of proposal prospects, and more focused and more comprehensive proposals. Given that more customer-focused execution of the project, while maintaining a reasonable return on investment for the performing organization, are crucial components of this process, preferred practices in planning of project, managing the tasks, and monitoring of projects, are highlighted and discussed.
