Textbook for an elementary course in solid mechanics for 2nd and 3rd year engineering students, with a final chapter suited to introduce more advanced studies in elasticity to beginning graduate students. Uses the author's "integrated force method" based on the "completed Beltrami-Mitchell formulation", in addition to the usual Navier formulation.
