This volume presents the full scores for two seminal works by Gabriel Fauré: Pelléas et Mélisande, Op. 80, and Pavane, Op. 50. The scores are reproduced from authoritative editions, offering musicians and scholars precise transcriptions of Fauré's original compositions. This collection serves as a valuable resource for understanding the harmonic language and orchestral textures characteristic of Fauré's mature style.

This collection is regarded as a standard reference for Fauré's orchestral works, providing musicians with accurate scores for performance and study. The inclusion of both Pelléas et Mélisande and Pavane makes it a convenient resource for those interested in Fauré's contributions to late Romantic and early 20th-century orchestral music. Scholars and conductors will find the clarity and fidelity of the scores particularly useful for detailed analysis and interpretation.
