Author Description

Commissioned by the New York Virtuoso Singers for its 25th Anniversary, this new piece from composer Shulamit Ran was adapted from Psalm 37 of the Hebrew Bible for a cappella S.A.T.B. chorus. A blend of traditional hymnal music and a more modern sound, this work employs innovative harmonies as it builds to an intense, yet joyful conclusion.
