The research was of a qualitative nature with some quantitative analysis, questionnaires were used to conduct the analysis. This study also shows linking of various quality initiatives such as Investors in People (IIP), ISO 9000 Series, Business excellence and Total Quality Management (TQM) have strong links – but different emphasis. Quality is increasingly being seen as the factor that distinguishes the successful organisation from the unsuccessful.
