Pollution of water not only creates an actual public health hazard, but also adversely affects such water for domestic, farm, municipal or industrial use. Over burden of the population pressure, unplanned urbanization, unrestricted exploration and dumping of the polluted water at inappropriate place enhance the infiltration of harmful compounds to the ground water. Statistical analysis of water quality parameters is essential for better understanding correlation between different parameters and also to assess health effects.
