From School Library Journal Grade 2-5. A child's imaginary trip aboard the Apollo 11 and the infamous first walk on the moon in the shoes of famous astronaut Neil Armstrong gives listeners the chance to learn about this historic moment. Two boys and two girls are on a trip to the National Air and Space Museum when Tomas is transported back in time. Based on the book One Giant Leap: The First Moon Landing by Dana Meachen Rau, the audiotape is narrated well by a male voice and includes children's voices and actual recording of the mission. The narration is smooth and full of expression, and the aural quality is clear. However, the tape narration does not closely follow the text of the book. Beginning readers could not use this book and tape effectively as a read-along without teacher guidance. Not a first purchase consideration for libraries.Lisa J. Radmer, Edwin R.
