Author Description

After answering a personal's ad the author of this charming book wound up hitch-hiking on sailboats from the Chesapeake Bay to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This was a three year adventure in which she sailed with three separate skippers, two men and one woman. This book contains 18 stories from that journey. The author is also an artist, and she has illustrated her stories with original watercolor paintings. All sailors have stories that are told and retold in yacht cabins, in beach bars and on long walks. These are the Sea Stories of Phyllis Ray.
