Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing will transform all sectors of the economy, including the legal profession. But technology has dramatically impacted lawyers before. In this book, author Ray Brescia shows how the new technologies of the late 19th century spurred the emergence of a new “version” of the profession, but one that was largely inaccessible to too many consumers. Today, new technologies are creating an even newer version of the profession—Lawyer 3.0—that could be more affordable and effective than the one that currently exists.
