Author Description

I was born in 1915 in St Petersburg by the Neva River. St Petersburg was the capital of Russia at that time. Two years later, the October Revolution breaks out. This tremendous change changes peoples destiny and my art career also begins in these changes. My father is a carpenter while my mother does the housework and takes care of the six children. The life of such a big family in the capital is extremely difficult. We finally move to the Krasnodar city in the north Caucasus foothills. I still remember how I am surprised by the bright colors, blue sky, opulent sunshine and warm climate in the south. Here we live a simple and happy life. Primary school work is very easy. I especially like the painting class of Peter Ivanovic Dmitriyev. Even our little progress will receive his praise, which, makes us more confident and enhances my interest in panting as well.
