Little things, short poems, sweet, fresh or provocative - A poem of few words. Some of the most expressive poetry is written in three lines and 17 syllables... or perhaps a little more, or less... haiku, senryu, haptic, zappai or your own style in just a few lines. If I wrote to a "prompt" (a suggestive idea from the Writer's Digest website), it will be listed first and then the poem I wrote from that suggestion.This year, with all of life's upheavals and trials often leaving little time for writing poetry, I decided to concentrate on what I call "little things," those small but expressive poems described above.
