About the Author Mary Lou Taylor grew up in Los Angeles, attended UCLA, and took her degree, and standard secondary credential at San Jose State University. Her work has appeared in Bellowing Arc, Caesura, the Montserrat Review, Reed Magazine and elsewhere. Taylor serves as advisor to Montalvo, Seratoga's Art Center, advisor to Poetry Santa Cruz, and is on the board of the Center of Literary Arts SJSU. She heads the committee of the Edwin Markham House, Poetry Center San Jose's poets' house at History Park in San Jose. Taylor lives in Saratoga, California, where she serves as an Arts Commissioner for the city.
