Father and mother lead busy lives in their bakery, an ideal situation for Floris to enact all kinds of mischief. Both alone and with his brother, Bas, he thinks of everything. With the milk cart he brings Mr. Antonio at risk. He sells green waste for bunches of flowers. And when grandma and grandpa celebrate being 40 years married, Floris, at the early morning, is already drunk. Floris' entrepreneurship gives his mother often a headache. In the evening, however, when she is asleep in bed, she forgets it soon. Paul ter Hedde was born in 1964 in Eibergen. In this village he is living with his wife and four children. Paul walked around for years with the idea to write a children's book. When he had children, the desire to do this effectively only increased. With the adventures of Floris, he tries to put his own childhood more or less on paper. His hero is therefore a highly autobiographical character.
