About Urhobo School Urhobo School is a key initiative of Urhobo Progress Union UK, which is a chapter of UPU. A key objective of the school is to support the preservation of Urhobo language by offering the opportunity to anyone that wants to learn Urhobo. The school is delivered through online sessions, but this has been supplemented by classroom sessions where possible. Through online sessions, the school can be accessed by more people from different parts of the UK and indeed the world. Every Urhobo person is encouraged to learn Urhobo if they are unable to speak it or if the language is not generally used in their community. About this workbook This workbook is part of a structured programme of Urhobo School which comprises three levels: Beginners Level – covers the fundamentals of Urhobo language, starting with the basics and building vocabulary. Intermediate Level - covers Urhobo grammar and supports building your confidence in forming sentences and comprehension. Advanced Level – supports gaining confidence and proficiency in Urhobo, building on the previous two levels. The workbook is designed to be used to deliver the lessons in a structured way.
