Interactive Science: Grade 1 was developed with the principles of engaging education in mind. The curriculum for homeschooling is interactive, meaning that your child will have plenty of hands-on activities to complete during his or her education. During the course of this program, your child will adventure into the very core of science, walking away at the end of the year with a better understanding of the subject. By the time you and your child complete Interactive Science: Grade 1, he or she will be able to: Make basic observations. Observe the world using the five senses, and catalog that information based on sense (i.e., brownies are dark in color, smell like chocolate and are warm when out of the oven). Note patterns in astronomy, such as the rising and setting of the sun. Relate time of year to the amount of daylight available each day. Please note that Savvas creates educational materials for all types of learners. For that reason, when creating a program, we ensure that the material will be accessible to as many students as possible. As such, we create many ancillary products that fit specific situations and meet a variety of needs. While there are many components to each of our overall educational programs, some of these ancillaries do not meet the needs of homeschoolers, others do not make sense in a homeschool environment and some require an expensive technological infrastructure to deploy. The homeschool product configurations, while selected from a larger program, are complete curriculum bundles designed to engage your children and help them thrive while being mindful of your budget.
