Without planning to, I became an über-mom the moment our daughter "Alex" was born. Now, 22 years later, Alex graduated from college and is moving back home just as we got used to our empty nest. When Alex left for college, I tried to fill the void with my full-time job, a writing career, college classes, and keeping notes of our email and text message conversations which are collected in this book. Here is the hilarious exchange between a helicopter mom and her freedom-tasting daughter as she transforms from high school grad to young professional over her four years of college, on a very long leash.
