Work has been redefined by the changes in the workforce marketplace. The redefinition proposes that work is an innate human function that inherently informs the individual's purpose, and affects the workers' well-being. Work is relational and social, and is a way to address self-identity. Finally, work itself is a learning process. This book "Room for ME" is a follow-up after "Why ME?", which studies the environment in a post-Covid world at the wake of the 2010 decade. Different types of cultural behavioural models and their impacts on workforce motivations (M) and expectations (E) were discussed. There is a breakdown in people's engagement and the book seeks a formula for better engagement through the alignment of the "ME" factors. Room for ME takes the discussions one step further and looks at the current and future workforce challenges, intergenerational change being one of them. There are seven factors examined. Against these factors, seven WELCOME principles are introduced to confront these challenges in the workforce. Work culture is central in these discussions and is foundational for talents to be on their best game.
