Texas Criminal and Traffic Law Manual: Judicial Edition: To create this special Judicial Edition, we worked in conjunction with the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center to refine and rework the scope of our traditional law enforcement manual to include the most pertinent statutes and rule sets for a practicing attorney, criminal justice professional or sitting judge involved with criminal and traffic related matters. As a result of legislative changes, the increasing amount of substantive law related to municipal courts necessitated a narrower scope to this publication. To keep this publication in one volume, the focus of the content is (1) procedural law, (2) traffic law, and (3) select substantive law (in the Penal Code and Alcoholic Beverage Code). Inclusion of all substantive law from other codes could not be maintained in one volume. This change was at the direction of the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center, which provided us with direction and guidance in developing the contents of this volume.
