The Historical Moses Found is a unique book of Biblical scholarship; one that concludes the following: [1] Moses wrote most of the book of Deuteronomy that was carefully transmitted by Levite scribes who also edited the text, [2] The Aaronid priests and the northern High Places (Bamma) priests wrote the texts of the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers during the Judges period, [3] These texts were compiled in Jerusalem by royal scribes, during the United Monarchy of Kings David and Solomon, into the Pentateuch. The book draws on the scholarship of Dr. Gary A. Rendsburg (the Pentateuch compilation), Dr. Ian Young (the dating of poetic Biblical texts) and Dr. David Glatt-Gilad and Dr. Itamar Kislev (the authorship of Moses to Deuteronomy). Many cultic elements were contributed by the author, Barry Page. The Historical Moses Found proposes a Cultic Hypothesis with most sources having been written by cultic scribes; this replaces the Documentary Hypothesis that is maintained in most academic circles. As such, it is the first book to espouse a Middle Path, in Biblical scholarship, between Fundamentalism, at one extreme, and the Documentary Hypothesis, at the other.
