
Gary Beck's poetry, fiction, one act plays and essays have appeared in hundreds of literary magazines. Chapbooks published include Rembrance (Origami Condom Press), The Conquest Of Somalia (Cervena Barva Press), and The Dance Of Hate (Calliope Nerve Media). A full length poetry collection, Days of Destruction, was published by Skive Press. He has spent most of his adult life as a theater director and has worked as an art dealer when he couldn't earn a living in the theater. He has also been a tennis pro, a ditch digger, and a salvage diver. Gary's translations of Aristophanes, Sophocles and Moliere, as well as his own plays, have been produced Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, and at colleges and outdoor performance venues, including Lincoln Center. He is an award winning writer/director of social issue documentaries and currently lives in New York City.
