The Literacy Kit is an innovative range of resources to support the introduction of the National Literacy Strategy at Key Stage 3, or for use in any literacy lesson. Used together, the components make up a complete literacy course. Components can also be used separately with existing schemes of work, providing a thorough yet flexible package. OHT Packs The OHTpacks can be used as a way of introducing the texts and learning in the students' books and are ideal for the whole class teaching methods required by the NLS. Accessible models of all text types are given, on easy to use ready-made acetates. A teaching notes booklet in each pack gives guidance on using each OHT,general notes on strategies for whole class teaching, and suggested planning links with the students books.
