A well-illustrated book describing the main landforms and landscapes of the Assynt and Coigach areas of NW Scotland. The author describes the geology of the area in straight-forward, accessible terms, and the evidence for the glaciation of the area by the last Scottish ice sheet. Seven key areas are then described to show how the classic landforms they exhibit relate to geology and glaciation.
