Author Description

His Name Is Fred The title is the introductory statement of my first meeting with Fred. It seemed to be a funny little name for a cute little dog so full of intensity and an overflowing energy and an obvious love of life. At that introduction, my future heart surgeon won over a heart that had wandered through life, giving little thought to the needs and afflictions of God's creatures with whom I shared this planet. His greatest attribute was innocence, along with trust and unfettered love which he gave without hesitation. And what he did to my life and what he provided for other little creatures as a consequence of his life are, to me, astounding as I look back on them. Concluding that God does more than we can ever think or imagine through his creation, I conclude in these pages that there must be more to the life of these special creatures than 1.5 decades of life, give or take, and then oblivion for all eternity. Deep in my soul and clearly in scripture, it should be obvious that there is far more to the story of these special creatures than we can now see. And Fred (or Freddie), with his special skills as a heart surgeon, gave me that new lease on life.
