
Bai Chongjin is the central figure of the Xingui branch of Kuomintang, an admiral of the army, famous military strategist, and is known as ""Little Zhuge"". Bai Chongxi and Li Zongren cooperated for twenty years and forced Chiang Kai-shek to be out of his position three times. In his early years, Bai Chongxi and Li Zongren launched the Northern Expedition campaign and arrived in Shanhaiguan and once established the new Gui empire across four provinces. In 1930, the officers and soldiers of the Gui branch retreated Guangxi province, and Bai Chongxi became a key figure in building a new Guangxi. After the war against the Japanese, he served as defense minister of the Nationalist government, and travelled to Taiwan after the liberation of the mainland, and ended his life in Taiwan with depression.
