About This Anthology of Ten Minute Plays The Bechdel Group's "Prop Plays" is a collection of 10 minute plays written in 24 hours for our bi-annual writers' challenge. For the challenge, we bring together a group of writers to a rehearsal room and present them with actor headshots and a set of parameters. Next, writers have 24 hours to write a 10-minute play. The following evening, the actors and writers gather to hear the results: a live event 10 minute play festival. It's the ultimate writers / actors exercise with an audience, food, and drinks for a night of laughter, tears, and play.
