"For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them." (Matthew 13:15) These words, spoken by Jesus many years ago still remain true today. If we are to unravel and solve the problems that exist in our world today, we must take that bold step across the threshold of the heart. There we will fi nd the unresolved and unmet needs of a society desperately in need of spiritual renewal, regeneration, and rebirth. Israel could have "turned" for healing, forgiveness, spiritual restoration, regeneration, and renewal. But the message Jesus brought further galvanized the rebellious, unrepentant, and resistant hearts of people who refused to believe. Today, this same "disease" plagues our society. In so many ways, not much has changed!
