This book is a culmination of the past forty years of the author's wide ranging curiosity about the story of human origin. It is a story about where we came from, how we got here and when it took place. It's probably not what you think, or what you've been told. It takes readers through some of the evidence that's been forgotten and left out by modern versions of history. It's not a complicated story. My book is a counterpoint to the more popular, modern version of history. It's a true story of our origin. But I think readers will agree that it is a story with some twists and turns in spite of its dull appearance. If you are in the same situation I'm in, you have met two or three prior generations of ancestors, and you can trace family ancestors back maybe four or five generations, if that much, and then it all fades into obscurity. Where did they go? Is there a way to explore the more distant past? A couple recent efforts that cmoe to mind to reach beyond the fog of obscurity are books by Bill Cooper and the impending publication of Nathaniel Jeanson's latest book. Cooper's book is based on history, Jeanson's book is based on current genomic (biological) studies. My book is aimed at a less technical audience. Those with an interest in history, but not so much interest in biology. I avoid biology and hit highlights of a wide range of other subject matter. Yet, we come to many of the same conclusions. It is hard to condense forty years in 150 pages, but a general audience might appreciate the brevity. It should be just enough to whet your appetite for more. The supporting website (2269bc.com) is where more nitty-gritty details will (eventually) find a home. Thanks for reading. (A note about the Kindle version. It's a first, first edition ebook. Formatting leaves a lot to be desired. It was written as a print book.)
