A roguish thief and a warrior-priest find their quest for riches entangled with a powerful wizard's ancient pact. Egil, a hammer-wielding warrior-priest of a forgotten god, and Nix, a magic-wielding thief, seek fortune through tomb-robbing. Their latest score, however, involves killing a demonic guardian and inadvertently breaking a pact that could unleash a dangerous beast. An immensely powerful wizard, desperate to maintain his ancestral power, now seeks to prevent this and enlists Egil and Nix, the very individuals responsible for his current predicament, to perform the task.

The premise sets up a classic fantasy adventure with a humorous bent, focusing on the unlikely partnership between a devout warrior and a mischievous thief. The narrative appears to prioritize action and the characters' dynamic as they navigate perilous situations. The conflict with the wizard and the unleashed beast suggests a high-stakes plot driven by the protagonists' past actions. The tone likely balances the thrill of adventure with witty banter and the inherent chaos caused by Egil and Nix.
