Product Description The International Drawing Annual 2007 (INDA 2007) is a picture-rich art book representing a wide array of contemporary drawing made by working artists of all levels of professional achievement from around the world. All works featured were selected through a competitive peer-review jury process by academic and professional volunteers committed to identifying the best works, regardless of style, subject, or genre. These jurors included professors, professional artists, art historians, and designers. For those wishing to get a sense of what is being done today in the field of drawing at the international level, the INDA is an excellent first resource! The publication is intended to serve as an experience much like a gallery exhibition, with priority given to the large full-color images and many full page details of the paintings. This allows for a page-by-page discovery of the creativity, intellect, and craftsmanship of each work represented. As an 'exhibition in print' the INDA gathers a diverse set of works and presents them in such a way that their page-to-page sequence makes the overall experience of the book even more inspiring than do the individual works alone. The International Drawing Annual publications are an extension of Manifest's Drawing Center mission. The goal of the INDA is to support the recognition, documentation, and publication of excellent, current, and relevant works of drawing from around the world. The International Drawing Annual 2007 (INDA 2007) is an extension of the award-winning ongoing International Drawing Annual (INDA) line launched in 2005, along with the award-winning International Photography Annual (INPHA) launched in 2012. For the INDA 2007, Manifest's jury reviewed over 750 drawing submissions from 286 artists from 40 states and 21 countries. The 136 page publication includes 87 works by 48 artists from 24 states and 5 countries including Canada, England, Iran, Switzerland and the United States. Written
